Jane's Creations
On this page I wanted to show you a project that we
all did for a very special person, Jeanette. Everyone worked together
to make a beautiful quilt!

Lois B. digitized a butterfly block and
we used it and our own fabrics toceate beautiful butterflies and brougnt
them to club. It was fun to see everyon's different creations. Then
we had a sewing day in the classroom to put them together. Many persons
worked that day, trimming and cutting the blocks. It was decided
to put a frame to put a frame around each block using one of the fabrics
in the blocks.
Pearl and Jane are stitching. We
had all the classroom tables in use. Marilyn, Lois B., Cheyenne,
Candy, Joy, Diane and Daphne are all busy. There were many more
that worked on the quilt besides those in the pictures. It truly
was a labor of love and we had fun also!
Lois B. is arranging the butterflies
ready to stitch together.
Jeanette was really surprised the day that we gave it to her. We
were able to get her to the classroom as a surprise. It was great
as over 20 women sat in the classroom waiting for her in complete silence.
She had no idea that we were there! The silence was the real
surprise!
The beautiful fininshed butterfly quilt! Lois B. quilted
it on her long arm and did a beautiful job. Matching pillows were
also made with the extra squares! A job well done!
