Rita took my hardanger table runner
class. She had an heirloom table runner that her Grandmother had hemstitched
by hand and she could never find a design that she wanted to put on it
until she saw the hardanger. Her grandmother passed away over 48
years ago and would have loved to see what she did with the table runner.
The Embroidery Designs used are Hardangish Squared by Laura’s Sewing
Studio. Beautiful job, Rita!

Sharon made a beautiful wallhanging using a picture
of her grandson, Quinn. She printed the picture from his birthday
invitation on fabric using 'Color Plus Fabric' and her inkjet printer.
She then created her own stained glass design and stitched it together
with the foundation piecing method. The satin stitching for the stained
glass was stitched through all the layers. Because she did not want
the wallhanging to be too thick, she used pre-washed flannel as the batting
in between. What a beautiful keepsake!
